A WONDERFUL MID 19TH CENTURY HANGING WALL BOX IN THE BEST, VIBRANT ORIGINAL "SOLDIER BLUE" PAINT, with a "pyramid" SHAPED CREST, New England, Probably Connecticut, Circa 1850-1860. Very nice form with the very desirable "pyramid" cut out back. This box is in the ORIGINAL, GRUNGY, UNTOUCHED, VIBRANT "SOLDIER BLUE" PAINT. It is completely untouched over its original powder blue base coat. Wonderful original handcut round nails. Nothing has been done to this box or to the paint. This great wall box is 10 1/2" tall, 6 1/4" wide and 3 1/2" deep. It exhibits only the typical wear and tear you would see from almost 160 years of use. Low starting Price and NO reserve.
