AAFA 19th Cen. Slide Top Candle Box BEST Blue Paint Picture(s) and Description:

AAFA

19th Century Slide Top Candle Box with Stunning Original Blue Paint This candle box is an amazing color! The paint is original, with all the appropriate wear one would expect. The box is very well made. It measures 10" X 6 1/2" and is 3 3/4" deep. The lid slides easily on wood rails carved on the edges (see picture 4). There are 2 triangle shaped finger pulls carved into the top at one end. The nails are square. I would date this from the second half of the 19th century. This would be a stunning addition to any collection of painted smalls. AAFA AAFA means Antique Americana and Folk Art and is used as a short cut to finding items that are true antiques, not reproductions, and are American. Simply search on AAFA and find all types of American antiques. But you need to be careful to read the description in full. Some Ebay sellers use the designation for reproductions and for items that are questionably American, or do not truly represent folk art or Americana. We guarantee that all of our items are as described. We will only use the AAFA designation for items which fit the criteria. Bid with confidence! We guarantee everything we sell as described! Returns Most of our items are antique or vintage, and show evidence of prior use. We describe all of our items to the best of our ability, pointing out all flaws or damage noted. We will gladly accept a return if the description is not accurate, and will refund the price paid for the item. Buyer pays for shipping of returns, which must be received within 5 days of receipt of the item by the buyer and in the same condition as was sent by the seller. We are happy to answer any and all questions, so feel free to ask before bidding. Payment Payment is due within 5 days of the end of the auction. Paypal is preferred. Shipping We pack carefully and do not inflate shipping charges – you pay only what it costs to ship . If the shipping charges seem high to you please email us for an exact quote. The shipping calculator is sometimes off. We refund excess shipping charges of more than $1. Because of Ebay’s new policy on insurance, we insure all items and cover the cost by charging a small handling charge. We usually ship within 24 hours of receipt of payment unless the item requires special handling. In any case, we will communicate with you promptly regarding shipping time and expected delivery date. Feedback We always leave feedback once feedback is given. Please visit our Ebay store where we are offering 18th and 19th century furniture, art and accessories. Thanks for looking!
