Antique English Figural Elm Dome Desk Box Letter Holder Description:' This is a beautiful antique late 19th C. early 20th C. English figural Elm desk top letter/ envelope holder. Notice the graining of the veneer how it travels from the domed cover to the front and back and the venner pattern never changes...it was made from one piece and is perfectly matched. This medium colored desk organizer has the original escutcheon with original lock and tab but I do not have a key. Overall this fine letter holder will work perfectly in the office or at home on your favorite desk and is a very well crafted piece signed on the interior by the retailer. Size: 10 3/4" wide x 5 3/4" deep x 6 3/8" tall. Condition: There is some old cracks and small chips to the veneer on the top, they are not going anywhere and I personally glued the veneer back down as it was lifting and did a fine job I may add. There are some small scuffs on the top as one would expect. The inside hinged show they have checked over the years. I dont see any signed of damage on the oudside, they are holding fine today...the interior is nice and well fitted to organize what have you and is ready to be displayed on your desk!
