ANTIQUE MICRO MOSAIC Italian Snuff Pill Box, Picture(s) and Description:

This antique gold wash micro mosaic snuff or pill box measures 2.5” in diameter and 1” tall. The micro mosaic inlay measures 1.25” in diameter. Even though unmarked, it was most likely made in Italy. The micro mosaic features many different flowers of several colors (some very tiny daisies) and a border of tiny leaves and turquoise tesserae. The little box is in very good condition. The micro mosaic tesserae are in excellent condition with only one tiny piece missing on the outer border. It show some wear to the gold wash in areas; and even though the lid closes, it does not snap tightly. This charming antique micro mosaic box is described to the best of my ability.
