Beautiful Large Pantry Box,best Old Pumpkin Paint,aafa Picture(s) and Description:

This beautiful pantry box was found in New England and has been in my own collection. It is a most unusual and appealing color that blends with all decors. I call it pumpkin as it is the exact shade of pumpkin pie. Some of the pictures may appear to be natural wood, but I assure you, it is old paint. It is a great size, being 9 3/4 in diameter and 5 inches tall. It does have a tiny bit of damage at the seam in that a bit of the wood has broken off and it has buckled along the seam, but it is very sturdy and sound. There is also a tiny sliver missing on the lid rim. Again, it does not affect the integrity of the box.The paint has a nice old crazed surface and is dry and not shiney as the pictures might indicate. Pictures 6 and 7 were taken outside so as to give you an accurate idea of the color. It is a lovely box in a most unusual color with a great early surface.
