Engraved Brass Dutch Tobacco / Snuff Box 18th Century Picture(s) and Description:

For auction is a beautiful brass tobacco box engraved on both sides with references to the new testament. On the top the crucifixion of Christ is presented. It shows two crucifixions with the third in progress. Marvellous detail with two mounted troops and 3 mourners at the foot of the cross. The script is 18th century Dutch Flemish. The Bottom shows the burial of Christ with three attendants, 3 females and 2 males mourners. There is text all around. In absolutely beautiful condition with little if any wear and wonderfull detail. There seems to be a small piece missing on the side edge as shown in photo plus a very small piece out of the top edge but this is covered by the lid when closed. I estimate the age at circa 725 to 1750.I combine auction for a cheaper shipping cost. Please do not pay for item till you receive an invoice from me for the total amount. Payment can be made by Paypal only. Since the auction item are being shipped from Canada arrival time will be longer.
