Here is a very nice C. Parker tobacco or snuff box. I don't know if it is silver plate or what percent silver. The lid design has a man and a large ship and a lighthouse. A very nice piece. The only markings are on the front where it has " PATd JAN 24 1860 EXTR C PARKER". It weighs 51.9 g or 1.83oz. The bottom shows some wear like it may be plate. I found 2 others for sale on the internet from Parker with a different design and they said theirs tested sterling on the bottom. I am not guaranteeing the silver content. The box is well made and has some nice machined joints and a strong hinge. On the inside lid there is a really nice and very clean orange and gold foil label that reads D. M. Ferry & Company's Flower Seeds. The label then goes on to describe how the seeds are to be displayed in the box – looks like it had some kind of layered rack. This auction is for a wonderful early 1900's STITCHWELL Toy Sewing Machine made by the National Sewing Machine Co. This great cast iron machine is in superb condition with paint and decals almost 100% intact. This little gem comes complete with the original instructions, original wood case, an extra needle, and the original clamp. It also comes with the original screw and washer which when combined with the wooden box, create a base for the machine (there is a hole in the bottom of the box where the machine can be attached with the screw and nut). This machine is in excellent condition with great paint and decals, and very little oxidation to the chrome parts. The machine functions properly when the crank is turned.
