Up for auction is Fine Russian Silver Niello Snuff Box.

This is fine Russian silver and nice decorated with black enamel (called Niello work.). This snuff box has a nice Russian architect on the snuff box. The architect drawn at the box is assumed to be Narva Triumphal Arch. This is built in 1820s in Saint. Petersburg. It has gilded interior and it is a hallmark at inside and rim. It is hallmarked FG in cursive and 84. 84 represents of this item purity (87.5%) and FG is a makers mark. I have no idea what the maker is. I am quite sure that this is made in mid 19th century. It is in perfect condition no dent, no repairs except inside minor scratches. It measures 3"width, 1.7depth and 2.3oz weight.
