Handsome Heavy Weight Tiffany & Co Sterling Silver Box Picture(s) and Description:

HANDSOME HEAVY WEIGHT TIFFANY & CO STERLING SILVER BOX Presented is a wonderful quality sterling silver box made for Tiffany & Company. The box has an elegant smooth finish design. It has a hinged lid, and the interior is lined with wood. Originally the box was probably intended for cigarettes, but it could certainly be used for many other purposes. It is good sized and has great weight. The box has not been monogrammed or engraved. It was made in the 1950s or 1960s.

The box is marked on the underside with Tiffany & Co, certainly for the retailer, and Sterling .

The condition is excellent. There are a couple little dings on the bottom edge of the box, but this is minor. The hinge is strong and working well. The box has only the most minor and insignificant of surface abrasions, which could easily be polished out. There are no dents, no splits, no monograms, no monogram removals, no breaks, and no repairs.

The box is 3 3/4 inches wide, 7 1/2 inches long, and 2 1/4 inches tall.

The weight is 496 grams or 17.4 ounces. The wood is quite light and makes up very little of the overall weight. The vast majority of the weight is sterling silver.
