angelinthewoods Store LATE 1800'S ANTIQUE WOODEN DOUGH BOX W/ SQUARE NAILS This auction is for an antique wooden dough box. This box is a beautiful example of a table top dough box. It is just wonderful with canted sides, the original lid and a red wood stain finish, either cherry, or walnut. The wood maybe pine, I am not an expert, but it's lovely regardless. It is in fantastic condition, there are speck of old white paint here and there, some on one of the handles end. The lid is a bit warped, to be expected in such an old piece. The bottom shows square nails in construction. There is residue of the old paint on the inside, with no other finish. One of the handles is a bit different than the other, could be a replacement, or just the makers choice.The base measures 27 1/2 inches long and 11 deep. The box is 26 1/4 -29 inches long, 10 -12 1/2 deep. The overall height is 10 inches tall, the box is 9 tall. The lid is 26 1/2 long and 12 deep. I honestly didn't know how to price this box, so I have started it with a ridiculous low price and a very modest reserve only to protect my investment.
