Sevres Style Porcelain Sewing Box, Fitted Original Silver Gilt Tools
Description: The elegant tools in this lovely necessaire
are nestled into the carved out interior of a gilded bronze casket mounted with a charming old
French Porcelain painted central plaque of a lady in a paniered dress with a powdered wig.
The pieces are all silver gilt with hand engraved scrolling designs and an unusual Fleur de Lys shape.
The set consists of scissors, needlecase, stiletto, bodkin, thimble , crochet hook and tape measure.
Everything fits the case perfectly and matches in style and design and it is obvious they all belong there.
The scissors have tight blades, sharp points and cut like new to the tips.
Tape measure has its original silk tape marked in centimeters.
The tape is wound back by turning the tip at the top of the tape measure
The thimble is has round indentation and is in perfect round condition with no dents, holes or s damage.
All of the tools are in excellent to near mint condition with no dents, repairs or other damage.
The gilded bronze casket is also in excellent condition with no damage or restoration.
It has its original velvet lining and original and strong hinges, closes properly.
It measures 5 1/2" 14 cm by 4 3/8" 11 cm. Weight: 692 grams
