Please see all postage rates in description below. A really fascinating wooden box crafted I believe from a cross section of an Australian tree fern. The wood is however very hard and strong, and I may be incorrect about the species however that's my current assertion please email if you know better.

If you're into beautiful figural woods and grains then this piece will be of real interest. The pattern is simply amazing YOU MUST SEE THE PICTURES! and unlike any other wood being a totally different and very primitive family of plant. The little handle has been similarly crafted from a smaller section of fern. The box sits on ball feet from the same material. There's a stable and old split to the handle as shown but this isn't affecting the strength and is hardly noticed. No makers marks. This box would be a real asset to a wooden box collection its just SO unusual and would make a wonderful contrast to the others.
