THIS AUCTION IS FOR A LOVELY OLD BOX. NICE SIZE MEASURING 7" LONG, 4 1/2" IN WIDTH AND IS 2 1/2" TALL. IT IS ENCRUSTED WITH PEARL LIKE SHELLS, ASSORTED SEASHELLS AND A RED VELVET HEART ON THE TOP LID THERE IS ALSO AN OVAL SATIN CAMEO PAINTING OF A SHIP. INSIDE HAS FIVE SMALL COMPARTMENTS. THESE BOXES WERE MADE BY SAILORS FOR THE SWEETHEART WAITING BACK AT HOME. NO MISSING SHELLS. THIS IS ONE OF THE NICEST VICTORIAN BOXES I HAVE SEEN.COMPLETELY HAND MADE. IN EXCELLENT CONDITION.
